2 saved after being stuck outside Atlanta building

ATLANTA (AP) - Firefighters have rescued two window maintenance workers dangling high above downtown Atlanta.

The workers were stranded on a platform between the 45th and 47th floors of the Bank of America building at Peachtree Street and North Avenue.

Atlanta Department of Fire and Rescue Capt. Jolyon Bundrige says the incident began unfolding around 1 p.m.

He says firefighters got both of them down by 2:45 p.m. He says they hoisted them to the rooftop, which was on the 55th floor.

He says the men were uninjured. They were stuck when the motor which lifted the platform malfunctioned.
