Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Police investigators have charged a 26-year-old man in connection to a burglary at a Myrtle Beach condo early Wednesday morning.
Officers were dispatched to an address on Riverwalk Drive around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday following reports of a burglary in progress. A caller reported an unidentified person was removing items from the condo during the absence of its tenants.
Witnesses provided police with a description of the suspect's vehicle upon arrival. Police searched the area and located the vehicle in question. During a traffic stop involving the vehicle, police discovered a flat screen TV, numerous DVDs and jewelry.
The suspect, identified as Michael Paul McCracken, 26, of Surfside Beach, was immediately taken into custody and transported to the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
McCracken remains behind bars and has been charged with first degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
