NMB man charged with illegal re-entry into U.S.

Columbia, SC - COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF) - A North Myrtle Beach man has been charged in a single-count indictment Tuesday, according to U.S. Attorney William Nettles.

Officials have charged Michael Angeles-Perez, 21, with illegally trying to re-enter the U.S. The maximum penalty Angeles-Perez faces is a $250,000 fine and up to 20 years in jail.

The case was investigated by agents of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of Detention and Removal Operations.
