Horry Co. fugitive from America's Most Wanted captured

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – An Horry County man wanted on multiple charges is in custody after nearly a year of being on the America's Most Wanted list.

Antonio Gilbert, 33, was arrested on June 22 by the United States Marshall Service in Greensboro, NC. Gilbert is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill, armed robbery and kidnapping.

The 33-year-old was wanted in connection with an armed robbery at Martin's Place in the Aynor section of Horry County on June 17, 2009.

In the incident, one victim was bound with a nylon cord, and then stabbed multiple times, including his left eye, according to officials.

Kimberly O'Neil and a juvenile male suspect were arrested in connection with the incident in June 2009.

Agents with the US Marshall Service responded to the Greensboro Public Library early Tuesday morning after receiving information obtained from America's Most Wanted.
