FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - Authorities in Florence are on the hunt for two men they believe to be associated with a string of recent crimes in the Pee Dee town.

Maj. Carlos Raines, spokesman for the Florence Police Department, said authorities were dispatched to a trio of potentially deadly crimes Thursday night involving a group of three black males.

Raines said police were called to the 800 block of Gladstone Street at 7:10 p.m. after a 64-year-old man said he was approached by a group of males while working on his moped. The man said the suspects asked if his moped was for sale, and when he said no, one of the men pulled out a handgun.

As a gun was held to the 64-year-old's head, police said he was asked if he would take a bullet for the moped while one of the suspects attempted to take the vehicle out of his possession. When the robbery attempt went sour, the trio of suspects fled the scene.

Florence Police were alerted of a similar incident near Gladstone Street, where a 61-year-old man was assaulted by a group of black males. The group asked him if he'd take a bullet for his moped and refused. Raines said the group fled in a southbound direction.

A third call was placed to Florence Police from a residence in the 700 block of Greg Avenue, located several blocks south from the two previous assaults. Two men sitting on the front porch of the residence told police they were approached by a man who attempted to rob the men of money at gunpoint.

Raines said came outside of the home on Greg Avenue after hearing a commotion, and when he did, the suspect drew a gun and asked for money. The man, according to Raines, rushed inside of the home to call police and was robbed of his cell phone in the process.

Police managed to arrest one of the alleged suspects in the assaults after cornering off an area. The suspect was identified by Raines as Cedrick Brandon Robinson, 17, of Darlington.

Robinson was charged with three counts of attempted robbery, two counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy and one count of petty larceny in connection to the string of Thursday night crimes.

Arrest warrants have also since been obtained for Harry Anthony Cockfield, 18, and Allen Marqruis Williamson, 17, both of Florence.

Williamson is wanted on three counts of attempted armed robbery, two counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy and one count of petty larceny. He is also wanted on an existing assault and battery with intent to kill charge for an incident on May 27.

Cockfield, according to Raines, is wanted for an armed robbery of a Hylers Grocery in Florence on Saturday.

Police say Williamson and Cockfield are known associates. Williamson is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on the location of either of the two suspects is asked to call the Florence Police Department immediately.
