Lake City, SC - FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The bond of a former Lake City High School teacher has been revoked by a Florence County Circuit Court judge Friday, following her April 15 arrest.

Kari Campbell, 27, was charged in April as the result of an alleged sexual incident with a former student. Investigators with the Florence County Sheriff's Office arrested Campbell and charged her with criminal sexual conduct with a minor under the age of 16 and lewd act on a minor.

Campbell was released from custody on a $15,000 surety bond and was ordered to not contact the victim, the victim's family or any students at Lake City High School. Investigators allege Campbell repeatedly violated the provision of the bond by contacting the victim and Lake City students directly and through others.

Circuit Court Judge D. Craig Brown found the 27-year-old in violation of a material prevision of her bond and ordered she be taken into custody at the Florence County Detention Center.

Campbell will remain under surveillance at the detention center until her case can be heard by the court.
