MULLINS, SC (WMBF) – After five years in Charlotte, Marion native Raymond Felton has an eventful off-season in front of him.
Felton is an unrestricted free agent and will not tip his hand about his likely destination for his sixth National Basketball Association season.
"I'm going to go where ever I feel like they want me," Felton said. "Whoever's going to do best for me and my family, that's how I look at it."
Felton hosted his 5th annual basketball camp at Mullins High School in June and about 100 young basketball players took part.
Felton was a restricted free agent last off-season. He was looking for a long-term deal to stay with the Bobcats and said all summer that Charlotte was where he wanted to be.
This time around the Latta High School alum does not seem quite as set on staying in the Carolinas.
"It's a business, we'll see what happens," Felton said. "Hopefully I'll stay in Charlotte, but if not, it's a business, I understand that."
Felton says he may wait to see where big name free agents like LeBron James end up and says he is happy to play the waiting game.
"I could be back in Charlotte, I could be elsewhere," Felton said. "Who knows?"
NBA free agents can start signing with teams July 1.
