Florence, SC -

FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - A 23-year-old is facing multiple charges in the Pee Dee after allegedly firing a gun in the parking lot of a Florence nightclub Sunday night.

Capt. Michael Nunn, spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, said deputies were called to Seeker's Night Club on Sunday in response to gunshot reports. Upon arrival, deputies arrested Delbert Garland Jr., 23, of Florence, for discharging a firearm into a dwelling, the unlawful carrying of a pistol and the unlawful possession of a handgun.

An investigation revealed Garland had previously engaged in an argument with another person at the club, both of whom were ejected from the establishment. Investigators believe Garland obtained the handgun from his car and fired in the direction of patrons and a club employee.

The serial number on the handgun, investigators said in a prepared statement, was removed or obliterated.

Garland was released from the Florence County Detention Center on Tuesday on a $15,000 surety bond.
