Florence, SC - FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) - The founder of a Pee Dee watchdog organization was arrested Friday, according to booking records at the Florence County Detention Center.
Rev. Raymond Johnson, a civil rights activist who formed Action 7, was booked into the Florence County Detention Center on Friday just before 6:30 p.m. on a detainer charge.
Capt. Michael Nunn, spokesman for the Florence County Sheriff's Office, said Johnson was arrested on a bench warrant issued by Family Court in Horry County.
While officials with the Florence County Detention Center have not released any further details into the 59-year-old's arrest, officials do say he is being held for Horry County Police.
Johnson was released from custody on Monday at 11:02 a.m.
