CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – After starting against the College of Charleston on Saturday and coming back to pitch out of the bullpen against the Cougars Monday, Coastal Carolina ace Anthony Meo is feeling pretty good.

"Yesterday my arm was a little sore, I woke up today and my arm was better," said Meo. "Hopefully going into the weekend I'm 100 percent."

Meo and the Chants are still quiet about who will start which games in this weekend's NCAA Super Regional against the South Carolina Gamecocks. The first game is Saturday at noon.

Meo, like most college pitchers, only starts once a week throughout the season. He says, if called upon, he'll be ready to take the mound to open up CCU's trip to the Super Regionals.

"Absolutely," said Meo. "If I have to be ready by Saturday, I'll be ready. If [CCU starter Cody Wheeler] needs to be ready, he'll be ready. We just have to suck it up and be ready."

Coastal Carolina starts their Super Regional Saturday at noon. The games will be played at BB&T Coastal Field.
