Lamar, SC - DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) - Darlington County Election Commission certified the election today and Anne Warr who was running for the District Four County Council seat filed an official protest over the results.
Warr's official protest includes seven points stating how rules were broken by polling officials as well as problems with the general set up of the polling area. The protest also included a drawn out diagram of the polling area.
Warr lost the seat to Bobby Hudson, who secured 57 percent of the vote. Warr only received 43 percent.
Warr plans to file the complaint with the Democratic Party as well.
District four serves the city of Lamar in Darlington County.
