MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An 18-year-old girl who was thrown off the balcony of a Myrtle Beach hotel who went missing, was located on Tuesday afternoon, according to police.

The teen from Ravenswood, WV, told police on Monday she was raped and thrown off the second-story balcony at Sea Dunes Motel, 605 S. Ocean Blvd., Monday evening. Cody James Epley, 17, of Swansea, has since been charged with first degree assault.

Early Tuesday morning, the victim's mother told police the girl was discharged from Grand Strand Regional Medical Center around 12:30 a.m. and left with two men she met earlier in the night, both of whom were friends of Epley.

The victim was located in the Columbia, South Carolina area on Tuesday afternoon in good condition, according to Lt. Furlong of the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

WMBFNEWS.com has intentionally omitted the victim's name since she is potentially the victim of a sex crime.
