Conway, SC - Conway, SC (WMBF) - The 17th annual Kingston Golf Classic raised approximately $50,000 for the Conway Medical Center's HEALTHREACH programs, according to Conway Medical Center.

Event organizers said the three day event held at Legends Golf Resort over Memorial Day weekend had over 60 sponsors, 25 volunteers and 144 golfers that participated in the event.

Proceeds from the tournament are used to support the CMC HEALTHREACH programs for the medically underserved of Horry County.

"We are truly grateful to Waste Management and all of our sponsors for supporting this event year after year, and especially during these difficult economic times," Executive Director Berns Massey of the Conway Medical Center Foundation said.  "It is a testament that our sponsors care about the health and well-being of our community and believe in the mission of Conway Medical Center to assist the medically underserved."

The CMC Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation established in 1988 as a charitable organization to provide support for Conway Medical Center.

The 2010 Kingston Golf Classic Champions were Brian Dodge and Gary Pell representing BB&T.
