Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - An early morning armed robbery in Myrtle Beach has landed a 23-year-old man behind bars Wednesday.
Sgt. Robert Kegler, spokesman for the Horry County Police Department, said officers were dispatched to a Kangaroo convenience store on Dick Pond Road at 12:45 a.m. following reports of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, police found a clerk behind the counter, with a man standing in front of him.
Officers managed to make their way into the store and arrest the suspect, identified as Devin Martia Harris, 23, of Myrtle Beach, without incident. During his arrest, police located a handgun and money taken from the clerk.
Harris has since been charged with armed robbery. He remains in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
