Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Police have charged a Myrtle Beach woman for allegedly reporting a false robbery at Myrtle Beach International Airport.
According to HCPD spokesman Sgt. Robert Kegler, detectives began investigating on May 19 around 1:30 a.m. after a woman, later identified as Andrea Paulette Kirchner, reported she was robbed while working at the Republic Parking Booth at MYR. Investigators said Kirchner, 50, of Myrtle Beach, reported that she heard a voice from the bushes ordering her to leave the money on the chair and walk away.
Investigators say the woman took the money herself and reported the false robbery. Kirchner was arrested June 1 and charged with breach of trust ($1,000 or less) and giving false information to law enforcement.
