NC Governor’s award for volunteer service

Lumberton, NC - Lumberton, NC - Nominations are now being accepted for the 2010 Governor's Award for Volunteer Service.

Each county may select five individuals, businesses and/or groups to be recognized for their outstanding contributions to their communities.

A local committee evaluates the nominations and selects one recipient to receive the Governor's Medallion for Volunteer Service.

Nomination forms are available from Beth Ivey, volunteer supervisor at Southeastern Regional Medical Center, and must be submitted no later than August 6.
