Police: Man attacked, stabbed in bathroom of MB hotel room

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police in Myrtle Beach are searching for two suspects in connection to a Sunday morning stabbing along North Ocean Boulevard.

Officers responded to a room at the Palmetto Shores along North Ocean Boulevard after receiving reports of an assault and battery with intent to kill incident. Upon arrival, police found a 34-year-old man suffering from an apparent stab wound.

The victim told police he woke up at 6 a.m. Sunday to use the bathroom, and found his wife sitting on the couch. His wife, identified in a police report as Mary Nassef, 30, of Summerville, attempted to stop him from using the bathroom.

When the man entered the bathroom, he told police an unknown man attacked him and hit him in the back. The victim said he later realized he was not actually hit, but stabbed in the back.

Both the man's wife and the unknown man left the room on foot in an unknown direction, according to a police report.

Police describe the unknown man as a white male standing 5'8" and weighing 140 pounds with a crew cut. At the time of the incident, he was reported as wearing a black dress shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Nassef and the male suspect is asked to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department immediately.
