Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Grand Strand Humane Society says the 2010 Bark in the Park event is bound to be a doggone good time, as pet owners and man's best friend take to BB&T Coastal Field in June.
The event, to be held on June 8, allows baseball fans to bring their dogs to the ballpark as the Myrtle Beach Pelicans take on the Winston-Salem Dash.
Shelter officials say the organization will have dogs at the event that are looking for homes. A 50/50 raffle during the game will also benefit the shelter's ongoing services in the Grand Strand community.
Tickets are being sold for $7 at the Grand Strand Humane Society. A portion of the sales will directly benefit the shelter.
The Grand Strand Humane Society takes in animals brought in by the City of Myrtle Beach Animal Control, as well as those brought into the shelter by the community.
