Clemson, SC - CLEMSON, SC (AP) - College administrators and student affairs professionals from across South Carolina are gathering to discuss excessive student drinking.
The two-day conference at Clemson University gets under way on Thursday.
Organizers say administrators and staff from two dozen schools are expected to discuss ways to decrease student drinking and unsafe behavior.
Speakers include Bob Saltz, senior research scientist at the Prevention Research Center in Berkeley, Calif., and Holly Torske, senior program manager at the Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation Underage Drinking Enforcement Training Center.
Clemson staff members are also discussing efforts like an alcohol risk-reduction and prevention program and enforcement of underage drinking laws.
