MB Police search for carjacking suspects

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police are searching for two suspects they believe are behind an armed carjacking that occurred in a Lowe's parking lot in Myrtle Beach Wednesday afternoon.

According to a report from Myrtle Beach Police, the two men were seen leaving Lowe's in what appeared to be a white Chevrolet Suburban or Cadillac Escalade. The vehicle was driven to a far corner of the store's parking lot, where it stopped and a man exited the vehicle.

A driver of an F-150 pick-up truck was approached by the suspect, who lifted up his shirt and flashed a black-in-color handgun. The victim told police they were ordered to give the keys of the truck to the suspect.

The armed suspect was described by police as a man in his late 20s standing 6'3" and weighing 170 pounds.

A second suspect involved in the incident is described as standing 5'10" and weighing 170 pounds. An investigation by police revealed the suspect produced a military ID to receive a discount at the store.

Investigators recovered the vehicle around 8 a.m. Thursday. Anyone with information on the location of suspects is asked to call the Myrtle Beach Police Department immediately.
