Myrtle Beach, SC - SOCASTEE, SC (WMBF) - Two Conway men have been arrested and charged in connection to an early morning bar stabbing in Socastee.
Officers with the Horry County Police Department were dispatched to Sun Up Bar on Socastee Boulevard at 8 a.m. in reference to a fight. Following the arrival of police, one man was found suffering from apparent stab wounds.
An investigation into the incident revealed an altercation between the victim and two suspects began inside of the bar. The suspects were asked to leave by an employee, and later kicked open the entrance to the building, began assaulting the victim and stabbed him.
The suspects, identified as Leron McCleod, 33, and Harry James Bellamy, 30, were located in close vicinity to the bar and arrested.
Both McCleod and Bellamy are facing charges of second degree burglary, assault and battery with intent to kill, and lynching. The duo is currently being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
The victim, whose name has not been released, remains in critical condition at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
