Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A community service-based organization located in the Grand Strand is searching for ideas from non-profit groups for potential service projects that have a lasting benefit on the area.
Leadership Grand Strand is accepting proposals for projects that address an organization's specific needs that involve hands-on volunteer hours.
The projects, which would be completed by an upcoming Leadership Grand Strand class, must take place between September 2010 and April 2011 and involve 30 participants. The volunteers will complete 750 total hours of work over an eight month period.
Previous projects, according to organization officials, have varied from improving an area animal shelter to providing assistance for an abused children program.
