MB Volunteer Rescue Squad planning yard sale to drum up funds

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad is hoping to raise some funds with the help of some hand-me-downs.

Like many volunteer organizations right now, the rescue squad is facing some financial problems and has thought up one way to possibly help pay the bills – a yard sale.

On Saturday, the group started accepting donations, even getting someone's old wedding dress. The squad says they need a lot of supplies and every little bit helps.

"Can't hurt at this point," said Chief Kenny Elmore, "Like I said, we're trying to do everything to make sure that the trucks stay on the road and every little bit helps."

The squad is hoping to have a yard sale in the second or third week of June.
