Warning light diverts MB-bound Allegiant flight

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say an Allegiant Airlines plane heading to Myrtle Beach has returned to Grand Rapids, Mich. after a warning light alerted the pilot to a potential problem.

Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Roland Herwig said the plane landed safely about 1 p.m. Friday at Gerald R. Ford International Airport. Herwig said the pilot decided to return after seeing a left main gear oil brake pressure light.

Phil Johnson, the airport's deputy director, said the plane had 134 people on board, including the crew.
