Atlanta, GA - ATLANTA (AP) - An underground tunnel between Concourses A and B at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has been reopened after authorities shut down the passageway due to reports of smoke.
The lockdown temporarily stranded passengers for about a half hour Wednesday, as authorities stopped a train that travels through the tunnel.
Airport spokeswoman Katena Carvajales says it happened around 1:08 p.m. Authorities also shut down a pedestrian passage that parallels the train tracks.
Delta Air Lines spokesman Anthony Black says the airport's biggest airline delayed flights to get as many passengers aboard as possible.
Officials had not determined the source of the smoke late Wednesday afternoon.
