Conway, SC - CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - Creating better jobs across Horry and Georgetown counties will be the topic of discussion at a Coastal Carolina University Jobs Summit on May 26.
South Carolina Secretary of Commerce Joe E. Taylor Jr. will be on hand during the summit to discuss the current state of unemployment and how to create more and better jobs across the Grand Strand.
The forum, sponsored by the Center for Economic and Community Development and the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration, will also feature a job status overview from Don Schunk, research economist at the university, following Taylor's remarks.
Two panel discussions, beginning at 10:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. respectively, will address how to improve the future of local jobs and the question "What would we become if we could?"
