Spartanburg, SC - SPARTANBURG, SC (WMBF) - A $150 million capital investment in the Upstate is becoming a reality Wednesday, as Adidas opens the doors of its new consolidated distribution center in Spartanburg.
Gov. Mark Sanford is expected to mark the occasion with local leaders at 11 a.m. at the distribution center, located at 670 Falling Creek Rd. in Spartanburg. The distribution center will be paired with a customer service facility that has created 1,200 new jobs.
The new facility, according to Adidas officials, is the largest of its kind for the company. Adidas broke ground on the Upstate facility in 2007.
