MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police in Myrtle Beach are searching for a woman who struck two men with her car as they attempted to tow the vehicle.

Police were dispatched to an address on Flagg Street in Myrtle Beach shortly before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday. When officers responded, two workers said they were trying to tow an illegally parked car when they were assaulted.

While filling out paperwork, the workers told police a woman got into the vehicle and told them they were not going to tow her car. According to a report, the woman started the car, shifted it into drive and stepped on the gas.

One of the men was struck by the vehicle's front bumper. The other man was struck by the vehicle's rear bumper after the woman reversed the car.

After striking the second man, the woman put the vehicle back in drive, jumped the curb and drove down the sidewalk in order to flee the scene. Police went to the home of the car's registered owner, but were unable to locate the vehicle or the woman at the residence.

The woman is wanted on assault with intent to kill charges.
