Kevin Jonas competes for charity on "Minute to Win It"

(NBC) - NBC's new reality competition series "Minute To Win It" gets a "Jo-Bro" jump-start Wednesday night, as one of "The Jonas Brothers" joins in.

Kevin Jonas is used to screaming fans, and that came in handy as he raced the clock on the show.

"You always hear the time. I didn't hear the screaming, but you hear 20 seconds and you're oh!" said the singing sensation.

Jonas had been watching contestants trying to stack apples, balance soda cans, and unfurl party streamers - among other pursuits - the past two months in the quest for a million dollars.

"I love people and I love seeing people get a shot. We need a shot these days," says series host Guy Fieri.

So Jonas decided to take his, but he wasn't just playing for fun. The recently married singer was playing for his charity, "Change For The Children Foundation."
