Police investigate armed robbery at Hungry Howie's Pizza

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach Police are investigating an armed robbery at a pizza shop early Monday morning, according to a police report.

A Hungry Howie's Pizza employee was closing up for the night, at 16011 S. King's Highway, when he was robbed at gunpoint around 1:40 a.m. Monday morning.

The employee told police he had just locked up and was walking to his car with a bag of chicken nuggets and the business' bank bag when he heard a deep voice tell him to "come here."

The robber then told the victim to throw his keys, cell phone and the Hungry Howie's bag, according to the report.

The victim was then told to lay on the ground face down. According to the report the robber then ran away, heading east on 16th Avenue South.
