GSHS to push feline adoptions at Cat-A-Palooza

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A special cat adoption drive is getting ready to kick-off at the Grand Strand Humane Society on Saturday, featuring a $10 donation opportunity that will waive set adoption fees.

Cat-A-Palooza will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Grand Strand Humane Society, which is currently caring for a double capacity of cats.

"Every cat cage is full," said Grand Strand Humane Society Executive Director Sandy Brown. "We have many wonderful cats in our lobby, hallways and offices. They are all so beautiful and loving, if you're looking to adopt, please come by the shelter."

Every individual interested in adopting a cat will have to go through the normal adoption process and be approved by one of the shelter's adoption counselors. The main concern for the shelter is finding good, loving homes for the cats.

The shelter will have over 70 cats eligible for adopting with a minimum $10 donation during Cat-A-Palooza. There are felines of all ages, sizes and colors. Cats will be spayed or neutered, have all of their shots and will be ready to go home that day or be waivered out to return for their surgery.

The Grand Strand Humane Society is located at 3241 Mr. Joe White Ave. in Myrtle Beach.
