MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Mother's Day brunch is tradition in many households. One Grand Strand group helped make that tradition a little bit sweeter.
Part of the proceeds from brunch at Myrtle Beach Elks Lodge 1771 went to charity.
Organizers say it is a great way to enjoy time with family and friends while giving a little back.
Bruce Morgan is the house committee chairman for the lodge, and he says everyone is happy to help out.
"Everybody donates," he said. "We have 50/50 raffles for the Mothers later on this afternoon it's a good benefit plus it helps the lodge."
The brunch benefited charities like Alzheimer research, Veteran's benefits and children's charities.
