Four-day Shriners event added to MB festival schedule

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach is racking up its fair share of festivals to entertain tourists and residents in 2010, and now one more has been added to the rankings.

Jerry McConnell, president of the South Atlantic Shrine Association, is expected to announce the organization has chosen Myrtle Beach for the location of its Fall Festival of SASA. Activities are planned in Myrtle Beach from September 15-19.

The four-day Shriners event will bring up to 10,000 visitors to the Grand Strand and is scheduled to include a parade on Ocean Boulevard.

McConnell will announce the festival alongside Myrtle Beach Mayor John Rhodes on May 7 at 10 a.m. at Myrtle Beach City Hall.
