MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Horry County and Georgetown County Libraries are teaming up so people living in either county can qualify for a library card at no cost.
Program organizers say this will be particularly helpful for people who live in boarder areas including Bucksport, Garden City and Murrells Inlet. The new service will open up people in both counties to resources at libraries in both counties.
"This will permit them to use all of the resources and materials and books of the respective library system," said Director of Georgetown County Library Dwight McInvaill.
Library directors from both counties signed the agreement today at the Horry County Library Administration Building in Conway.
