Trio wanted in connection to Pee Dee gun theft

Hartsville, SC - HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - Police in Hartsville say one man is wanted after allegedly walking into a Pee Dee sportsman store and stealing a number of handguns.

Two others, according to police, are also wanted in connection to the incident.

Chief Tim Kemp of the Hartsville Police Department says a man entered an Ace Hardware and Carolina Sportsman store on April 30, locked himself in an unsecured weapons vault, and walked out of the store with stolen handguns concealed on himself.

The man, according to employees, later re-entered the store, walked into the vault a second time and stole additional weapons.

While a specific identity has not been made, police describe the suspect as having balding hair, dark eyebrows and a dark moustache. Officials say he was wearing a dark green shirt at the time of the theft.

Two other men are also wanted for questioning by police in connection to the April 30 incident. One of the men has been described as wearing a pink shirt with glasses and balding hair, while the other wore a white shirt and sported a short mohawk.
