Conway, SC - CONWAY, SC (WMBF) - A Myrtle Beach man has been charged with a pair of car break-ins in the Wild Wing community in Conway, according to Conway Police.

Steven Robert McKay, 21, is charged with two counts of breaking and entering auto.  McKay appeared before Judge Jane Mackey on May 3 and received a $10,000 bond on each charge.

Conway Police were called to a residence in the Wild Wing community around 10:30 a.m. Sunday on a reported break-in. The victim reported to police that someone entered his vehicle, stole more than $1,500 in golf clubs, and broke the side view mirror off of the driver's side of the vehicle.  That afternoon, officers responded to a second report of an automobile being broken into in the same community.

McKay was arrested by North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety shortly after 12:30 p.m. when he allegedly attempted to pawn the clubs at a pawn shop.

According to Conway Police, when McKay was arrested, he was found to be in possession of the items taken in the second auto break in.
