Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Grand Strand Leadership Alumni Association gathered in Chapin Park on Saturday to help feed the homeless.
The group held a free lunch for the homeless, serving hot dogs, hamburgers and chips among other items.
The group does service projects twice a year and wanted a chance to give back to the community. They wanted to make sure the homeless had a nice meal, and they chose Saturday because the community kitchen was not open.
"We have to give back to keep the community going," said Gina Trimarco, with Leadership Grand Strand. "So doing this kind of service also gets other people to think about doing service to keep our community strong."
