MURRELLS INLET, SC (WMBF) - The Grand Strand Humane Society hosted a Lunch of Love Friday to help raise money for animals at the shelter.
The lunch was held at Carraba's Italian Restaurant in Murrells Inlet, where people could buy raffle tickets and check out some of the dogs up for adoption. The Humane Society says events like the Lunch of Love help them make ends meet.
"The proceeds benefit the Grand Strand Humane Society to help us feed all of our wonderful homeless and abandoned animals that we have. Helps us feed them, provide medicine and shelter for them until they find a loving home," said Marketing Manager Cara Gibbs.
The Grand Strand Human Society takes in animals brought in by the City of Myrtle Beach Animal Control.
