Artists vie for honors in arts and crafts competition

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Sixty-seven artists from around the region are competing for top honors and thousands of dollars in the 13th annual Waccamaw Arts and Crafts Guild Juried Exhibition.

In addition to different crafts being on display, many will also be available for purchase.

Over 70 two-dimensional and three-dimensional works were selected for the competition. Works selected for display include photographs, in addition to oil, watercolor and mixed media paintings. The event is being held at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simon B. Chapin Art Museum in Myrtle Beach.

The museum, located across from the Springmaid Pier, is open Tuesday through Sunday. Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to donate.
