Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Myrtle Beach business leaders are hoping to raise revenue by showing off what the Grand Strand has to offer during the 2010 Restaurant and Business Expo.
The event begins Tuesday at 4 p.m. and is free to the public. The expo, held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, will host over 20 restaurants and over 80 different business from the area.
Amie Lee from the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce says she hopes giving people a taste of what the Grand Strand has to offer will keep visitors coming back.
Owner of Bravo Event and Party Rentals Elaine Dean is just one of the many business owners who will be featured at the expo.
"I think the potential for this one, with being open to the public and appealing to such a wide audience, will give us the opportunity to get in front of a lot of faces and a lot of households that would not necessarily know that we're around or what we do," said Dean.
Activities include food samples, live entertainment and a beer and wine garden. The event closes at 8 p.m.
