Olanta, SC - FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Ten students from Olanta Elementary School are receiving medical treatment at a Pee Dee hospital after the bus they were riding in was rear-ended Monday afternoon.
Officials in Florence School District Three say the accident occurred when the bus was rear-ended by a car on Hyman Circle in Olanta.
Officials say five students were transported to Carolinas Hospital, four were taken to McLeod Regional Medical Center and one was taken to Lake City Community Hospital as a precaution. No serious injuries were reported.
The school bus was operational and was taken to the bus maintenance shop following the accident.
