MBFD opens investigation into Home Depot fire

Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Investigators with the Myrtle Beach Fire Department are hoping to learn what sparked a fire inside of a Home Depot store on Tuesday night.

According to Fire Marshal Bruce Arnel with the Myrtle Beach Fire Department, firefighters were called to the Home Depot on Oak Forest Lane just before 7:30 p.m. Arnel says the flames were held at bay by the store's sprinkler system until firefighters were able to successfully extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported. The Myrtle Beach Fire Department has opened an investigation into what sparked the blaze.
