North Myrtle Beach, SC - NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A marketing tour aimed at promoting North Myrtle Beach is getting ready to hit the streets for a third year in a row with area leaders in tow!
Representatives with the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce are gearing up for the 2010 North Myrtle Beach Destination marketing campaign that will promote the city to thousands of potential visitors in targeted markets. Officials with the chamber will travel on a tour bus from Mat 17-20 to over 10 cities in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
On the "Twice the Fun, Half the Distance: Experience North Myrtle Beach" tour website, visitors can follow the trip through an updated blog and check out videos and pictures. In 2008 and 2009, NMBACC officials say the site registered visits from people in Oregon, California, Texas and Pennsylvania.
"For generations, families and visitors of all ages have created lasting traditions and memories by returning to our founding beach communities of Cherry Grove, Ocean Drive, Crescent Beach and Windy Hill, now known as North Myrtle Beach," NMBACC President Marc Jordan said. "Our annual bus tour is a way to take our 'hometown beach feel' to areas within our driving distance to reinforce the friendly and personal touch that people experience when visiting here."
The purpose of the trip is to draw visitors to North Myrtle Beach who might typically visit other coastal areas.
