MYRTLE BEACH,SC (WMBF) – Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department are continuing to look for those people responsible for throwing rocks at cars driving along Greens Boulevard in mid-April.
A cab driver with Anchor Taxi says someone threw a piece of a cinder block at his taxi.
"Fortunately, nobody was hurt, but it could have been worse than it was," said manager James Robinson.
According to a Myrtle Beach Police report, someone fired pellets at a woman driving down 21st Avenue while turning onto Osceola Street. An officer with the Myrtle Beach Police Department says he heard an airsoft gun being fired in the near Quail Marsh Condominiums where Eula Mae Mack lives.
"Pellet guns! Any guns! Guns! Guns! Rocks! All of that is dangerous," she said.
Earlier in April, she says someone threw rocks at her car while she was turning onto Greens Boulevard.
"I heard this noise that came through the wind shield. When I looked, there was a hole," Mack said.
She says someone threw two rocks, which at the time, she thought were bullets.
"An inch more, just up a little more [and] it would have been in my face," she said.
Mack says officers in Myrtle Beach do a good job of patrolling the area, but until suspects are named and arrests are made, she says she'll remain worried.
"I'm really afraid to go out to the stop sign because you don't know what's out there waiting," she said.
Myrtle Beach Police say they aren't sure if the two cases are related.
"I'm scared and hope whoever is doing that, I hope they find out who it is and stop them before somebody gets seriously hurt," she said.
