MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A Kentucky man living in Myrtle Beach told police he thought a former pastor from Conway robbed him while he slept, according to a police report.
The 21-year-old victim met the suspect and his two friends at Broadway at the Beach Tuesday and invited them back to a hotel room he was renting at the Sheridan on Robert Grissom Parkway.
According to the report, the suspect and his friends were invited to stay in the room after the victim went to bed.
When the victim woke up, he found his wallet, drivers license, $1,500, three phones, two iPods, a necklace and a bracelet missing.
Police confirmed the suspect had been a pastor at Christ Community Church in Conway, but was released for inappropriate behavior.
No formal charges have been filed at this time.
