Swing for Good Health golf tournament is set for May 6

Lumberton, NC - LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) - The Southeastern Regional Medical Center Foundation has announced it will host its 20th annual golf tournament on May 6 at the Pinecrest Country Club in Lumberton.

Proceeds from the event will fund health care academic scholarship loans for individuals who plan to work locally after completing training for careers in medicine, nursing or allied health.

Registration and a lunch, which is included in the tournament fee and offers grilled chicken, hamburgers and hot dogs, begin at 11 a.m. The shotgun start is set for 1 p.m.  The tournament format is SuperBall (Captain's Choice) and cost is $75 per person.

A hole-in-one on hole No. 12 wins a five-day, four-night cruise to the Caribbean, sponsored by Debbie's Destinations.  A hole-in-one on hole No. 10 wins a new car, sponsored by Jerry Johnson Chevrolet.  Cash prizes are also awarded to the top three teams.
