Myrtle Beach, SC - MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Thousands of people are expected to crowd Chapin Park Thursday for a Tea Party rally in Myrtle Beach.
Organizers say 2,500 people attended last year and they're expecting a similar crowd this year.
Joe Dugan, who sits on the Myrtle Beach Tea Party board of directors, says they want to send a message that Americans are taxed enough already, and they want to fight against big government.
"We are very seriously concerned as grass roots citizens that we're moving too far away from the constitution that our founding fathers gave to us," said Dugan.
The event goes from noon to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Chapin Park in Myrtle Beach.
