Columbia, SC - COLUMBIA, SC (WMBF) - Three Huger man were charged Wednesday with counterfeiting $10 bills and passing them, according to an announcement from the U.S. Attorney's Office.
The indictment alleges that beginning in January, Jeffrey R. Jackson, 25 counterfeited $10 bills. Beginning on Jan. 18, investigators say Jackson, Rickie D. Haselden Jr., 21, and Brett Lara Cohen, 18, began passing the money with the intent to defraud.
If convicted, Jackson faced $500,000 in fines and 40 years in prison. Haselden and Cohen are each facing $250,000 in fines and 20 years in prison.
