Police search for Surfside Beach assault suspect

Surfside Beach, SC - SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police in Surfside Beach are asking for the public's help in tracking down a man wanted in connection to an assault on Sunday.

Officers with the Surfside Beach Police Department responded to 1013 Glenn's Bay Rd. at 6:30 p.m. in regards to an assault, and upon arrival, met with two victims.

The victims claimed while crossing Glenn's Bay Road, a man honked his horn at them and then pulled into a parking lot in a reckless manner. The driver, according to police reports, exited his vehicle an assaulted both victims.

The suspect is described as a white male standing 6'1" and weighing 190 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen driving a blue Toyota Rav 4.
