MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach Police are looking for the people they say are throwing rocks and other debris at cars along Greens Boulevard in Myrtle Beach.

They say there were two incidents Sunday night, one of them involving a cab driver for Anchor Taxi.

"He could have got knocked unconscious and ran into something," said James Robinson, who manages Anchor taxi.

Robinson says the driver told him someone threw part of a cinder block at his windshield.

"Fortunately, nobody was hurt," he said. "But it could have been worse than it was. I can replace a vehicle. I can't replace a life."

Myrtle Beach Police say they're using surveillance video taken inside the cab to help identify any suspects. Robinson thinks it's the work of teenagers.

Another driver says he saw three people throwing rocks behind a fence that runs beside Willow Run Apartments.

"It's just the devil in them because they know what they're doing," said Bobby Barfield. "They know they're picking up a rock and throwing it."

Robinson added, "If you hurt somebody as a joke, it's going to be on you for the rest of your life. They need to learn a lesson before they do a bigger crime."

Damaging property carries a fine of up to $1,000 or 30 days in jail.
